San Francisco, California.

If you could pick one city in our beautiful country to visit for the perfect example of America, this is it.  (I’m sure the people of New York will argue with me, but since I’ve never been there, I will have to vote San Fran for now.) 😉

Looking around, you can visually see the definition of the “melting pot”.  So many cultures, so many different genres of humans.  An added bonus?  Everyone is so pleasant and nice!  I love it!

When Tim & Jessica asked if we could do their engagement session in San Francisco, I, of course, replied YES!  I will take my heart and my camera anywhere you want to go! 🙂

San Francisco was where Tim proposed to the love of his life.  Right on the Golden Gate Bridge.  Jessica was clueless when Tim asked a random stranger to take an obligatory “touristy” photo of them on the Golden Gate.  As the stranger was happily snapping away, Tim was down on one knee, asking Jessica the most important question of a lifetime.  Can you guess what she said? 🙂

What makes this story even better?  The random stranger had no idea that he had inadvertently switched to the front facing camera on Tim’s handy dandy iPhone.  He then proceeded to fill the camera roll with photos of his sweaty, red faced mug donning a nifty bicycle helmet.  Mr. Passerby is now a part of their wedding memories.  He even has his own place on Tim & Jessica’s wedding website!

hehe…

We started our photo journey in Union Square at the Villa Florence Hotel.  From there, we walked around Union Square, down to Market Street and back.

The adventures in downtown San Fran were definitely interesting.  Right in the middle of our session, there was a loud commotion… and boom.  We were right in the middle of a walking protest/rally!  It turned out to be a lot larger than locals anticipated apparently.  It was interesting to see the variety of folks that walked by.

We didn’t let that stop us from completing our mission… on to the next location!  (Isn’t Jessica’s ring perfect??  Tim did a great job!)© marsha walker-zepeda | www.thephotege.com

Right in the middle of this beautiful city, you will find Golden Gate Park & Stow Lake.  The lighting was divine, the forest smelled amazing, and the scenery… swoon!

Not done yet… not too far away is Baker Beach.  Seriously.  How perfect can this be?  This city has it all!  Grand cityscapes, a gorgeous forest/park, AND a beach?? Um… I’m sold.  Pack me up, I left my heart in San Francisco! 😀

Last stop of the night was this amazing memorial for Martin Luther King, Jr at Yerba Buena Gardens.

Really?  No words.  Tim & Jess are way too gorgeous for their own good. 😉

OH, wait!!  One more… just for fun…  yours truly, as captured by the super talented Jimmy Perez… the best assistant on planet Earth! 🙂

A whisper dome on Market Street.  Where there really are NO secrets.  You can hear everything!  So crazy!
